DAKOTA
Pourquoi Dakota ?
Quand j'étais jeune, si jeune, j'essayais de jouer dans une sorte de groupe de rock arty, vers 1974, the Blind’s Dream à Bordeaux. Aucune chance de trouver un éventuel enregistrement de nos prestations entre Pink Floyd et soft Machine en passant par Hawkwind, mais qui sait ?
A cette époque, nous étions à la fin d'une décennie de ‘’summer of love’’.
Et comme une vieille tradition indienne, nous avions choisi un nouveau nom pour chacun d’entre nous. Mes rêves d'adolescent étaient un mélange de devenir une rock star entre Jagger et Lou Reed, ou bien être un moine tibétain comme T. Lobsang Rampa, ou encore un écrivain du style de Selby ou Bukowsky. Et puis bien sûr, être pilote comme une sorte de héros de la seconde guerre mondiale.
J'étais fasciné par un avion de transport pas encore disparu, le DAKOTA appelé aussi DC3. Voilà donc le résultat de ce mixe élégant et je devenais un héros de mes romans et poèmes jamais publiés : Darine DAKOTA.
Why Dakota?
When I was young, so young person, I tried to play in a kind of group of rock'n'roll arty, about 1974, the Blind' S Dream in Bordeaux. No chance to find a possible recording of our services between Pink Floyd and Soft Machine while passing by Hawkwind, but who knows?
At that time, we were at the one decade end of summer of love. And as an old Indian tradition we chose a new name for each one among us. My dreams of teenager were a mixture to become a rock'n'roll star sort of Jagger and Lou Reed, or to be a monk, Tibetan as T Lobsang Rampa, or a writer of the style of Selby or Bukowsky. And then of course being controls like a kind of hero of the second world war. I was fascinated by a transport aircraft not disappeared yet, DAKOTA called also DC3. Here is thus the result of this mixes elegant and I became a hero of my novels and poems ever published: Darine DAKOTA.
