Voilà un tableau que j'ai commencé en 2000 et fini cette année!

Je cherchais un titre du style encyclopédie de la peinture en 1 tableau. Je ne sais pas si vous l'avez remarqué, il existe des centaines de livres qui se veulent encyclopédiques sur la peinture. On peut trouver un petit format jusqu'à une encyclopédie en quinze volumes. La part faite à l'image dans ces ouvrages est très importante.

Alors voilà mon ambition, raconter la peinture, de mon point de vue, en 1 tableau encyclopédique.

J'y parle de la peinture des hommes préhistoriques, des peintures africaines, de la période classique, de Picasso, de Basquiat et bien sur un peu de moi!

Ce titre, c'est aussi le titre d'une chanson des Rolling Stones, c'était le premier 45tours que j'ai acheté à 12 ans sur le marché de Villeneuve où nous vivions mes parents et mes frères.

Je n'étais pas sûr de comprendre le sens des paroles mais ce disque m'a ouvert les portes de la perception de la musique et des arts d'une façon plus dynamique et active.

I was searching for a title of the style encyclopaedia of painting into 1 picture.

I do not know if you noticed it, it exists hundreds of books which want to be encyclopaedic on painting. One can find a small size to an encyclopaedia in fifteen volumes.

The part made with the image in these works is very important.

Then here is my ambition, to tell the painting, from my point of view, into 1 encyclopaedic picture.

I speak there about painting of the prehistoric men, African paintings, the traditional period, Picasso, Basquiat and well on a little me!

This title, it is also the title of a song of Rolling Stones, it was the first 45tours/single which I bought at 12 years on the market of Villeneuve where we live my parents and my brothers.

I was not sure to understand the direction of the words but this record opened to me the doors of the perception of the music and arts in a more dynamic and active way.
