Hi every one, I hope you've all had a great year so far. Besides meeting exhibitions in France, NYC, London , things might have seemed quiet on the new Dakota works, but I'm happy to tell you that I'm finishing up paintings and I'll be making a full on annoucement of the release and tour in early 2010, in Japan, US, GB and France.

Mazzy Star c'était LE GROUPE, beau et mélancolique et le modèle du rêve psychédélique de la Californie, de ma vision de la Californie et peut-être celle de SMOG. La voix et la beauté de Hope Sandoval c'est la marque déposée d'une vraie icône moderne de la musique. La chanteuse a cherché à collaborer avec des artistes d'un autre paysage musical : The Jesus & Mary Chain, Air, Death in Vegas, The Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack and Bert Jansch, pas moins. En 2001 elle a joint Colm Ó Cíosóig (de My Bloody Valentine), et son groupe irlandais. Le projet continue aujourd'hui avec cette atmosphère laid-back, slowcore qui fait la renommée de la belle Hope Sandoval, sensuelle, voix hypnotique, même les boss d'Air France ce sont laissés séduire pour leur campagne de pub! Enregistré à la maison dans Berkley, ce disque pleins d'arrangements subtils renforcent la douceur vocale de Sandoval. Les paroles sont souvent acides et très étranges c'est à écouter absolument!

Since the release of Mazzy Star s debut album She Hangs Brightly, Hope Sandoval has defined the sound and style of California psychedelic dream pop. J'ai vu sur une chaine russe ce clip créé par l’artiste et illustrateur russe Ilya Kolesnikov, un coup de coeur pour le superbe clip du groupe russe Everything is made in China pour leur excellent titre Sleep-walking, issu de leur nouvel album Automatic Movements. Ce groupe fait du post-rock dans la meilleure des traditions du genre c'est FANTASTIC!

I watched on a Russian TV this clip created by the artist and Russian illustrator Ilya Kolesnikov, a real coup de coeur for this superb clip of the Russian group Everything is made in China for their excellent title Sleep-walking , from their new album Automatic Movements. This band made a sort of post-rock in the best of the traditions of the this kind of music and this is FANTASTIC!
